Many people ask if it is safe to ship a puppy. transporting puppies in a train is very safe and less stressful on the puppies. A lot of people think animals are drugged, put in a box, tossed around with the rest of the baggage or left in hot trains for hours , etc.. If this was true then we would never ship our puppies. After almost 16 years of shipping puppies all over the country, we have never had any problem with our shipping besides normal train delays and that is fairly rare as well.
Your puppy will not be stacked on top of suitcases. Our puppies are transported in the passenger cabin. Puppies are never drugged. Puppies are shipped in a new train approved plastic pet kennel in which they can easily see out the sides and front, with food, water, and a blanket. During long stops (if there is one) puppies are taken off the train and placed in a temperature controlled holding room until they can be put on the train. Extra food is taped to the side of the crate in the event of an unexpected delay. We take our puppies to the vet just before shipping to get a shipping health certificate.
-It has been our experience that shipping is not hard on the puppies. Our puppies are used to new experiences & sounds almost daily. They are exposed to a wide variety of things while being raised in our home. As far as they are concerned, it is perfectly normal for them to get on a train. Don’t forget to take your puppy to your vet for the regular arrival-health-check-up within 10 days of arrival.
Please be waiting for your puppy at your house or the train station at the given time. Usually your puppy is available 1 hour after the train’s arrival time & a valid ID such as passport or driver’s license is needed to verify the identity of the receiver. We really appreciate knowing that your puppy has arrived safely & at home with you, so call or email us as soon as you get the chance. Don’t forget to take your puppy to your vet for the regular arrival-health-check-up within 10 days of arrival. A follow-up call is placed 24 hours after you have received your new puppy to ensure everything is perfect, to answer any questions you may have & to measure your satisfaction.
Health certificates dated within 10 days of departure are required for all animals being shipped. This is to ensure all pets are not sharing anything more than a ride. All trains require this certificate. YES, it is mandatory. We usually get ours the day before so we know they’re good to go.
All house visit or pick up suspended due to Covid-19. We only ship to your nearest Train Station or delivery to your home address.
